This lodge trek takes you from the Helambu region, through the Lauribina pass and along the seven lakes of Gosainkunda to Dunche. Helambu is inhabited by fascinating ethnic groups of Tamangs Gosainkunda area is located in the mountains between 4000 and 4600 meters with beautiful views, lakes, snow and rock walls.
One special aspect of this journey organized by Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition is that in the short time we’ll receive a representative picture of Nepal and the Himalayas. On the whole trek we stay in lodges, which are sometimes basic in nature. We start right away just north of Kathmandu and pass through the famous rhododendron forests of Helambu.
We get an impression of real Nepalese rural life and come by beautiful nature including the sacred lakes of Gosainkunda – places of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists. In July countless pilgrims gather here for a ritual bath in the cold water. We finish the trek in a Tamang village in the Dunche region, and drive from there back to Kathmandu.
In this trek, there is good facility of communication since the internet, telephone and mobile service is available in the various points.
