Himalaya Vacation Treks and Expedition brings to our guests a special package of wedding, if you are couples are on a holiday in Nepal. This package program has been named ‘Wed in Nepal’. We come to the decision to launch the program after we successfully held the wedding ceremonies of our Danish clients Sussi and Jorgen at Pal Dargyeleng Gompa, a monastery in Swayambhu as per Buddhist culture in the year 2012 and Dutch clients, Gabriel Goes and Marieke Landastra at Gym Sumdo Gompa, a monastery in Swayambhu as per Buddhist culture on 2nd November 2014.
If your couple are lovebirds and planning any tour package of Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition and would like to convert you as a married couple in your dreamland, Nepal, then we are here at your service to make your dream come true. We can arrange your wedding ritual at high altitude like Everest base camp or in Buddhist monastery or in Hindu’s temple in Kathmandu or Thulo Parsel village in Kavre.
A traditional Buddhist wedding is held by a Lama or Buddhist priest at a monastery (gomba). The bride and groom are dressed in Tibetan costumes. Similarly, a traditional Hindu marriage is conducted by a Hindu priest at a temple premises or any place decorated to make it suitable for worshiping the Gods/Goddesses at. The groom and the bride, both are dressed in classic Nepali wedding costumes; bride usually dressed in red all over and also with knick-knacks. The typical get-up for bride includes red sari, red veil and knick-knacks. The groom wears coat, Daura-suruwal, and Nepali Dhaka topi (cap). Then, the groom puts red powder (‘Sindur’) on the head of the bride.
In Nepal, receptions after wedding are a must. Your wedding and reception will be done the way you wish. So, don’t worry about the costs, it depends on the venue and how big is the party you want to fling. We shall assist you for the legal documentation of your marriage if need be. We will also provide you a written proof of your wedding in Nepal from our company side.
