Voluntary Opportunity: Support for Health Post in Thulo Parsel, Temal
Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,
As many of you know, Central Nepal continues to rebuild in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015. The reconstruction efforts are ongoing, especially in the hardest-hit districts such as Gorkha, Dhading, Kathmandu, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok, and Dolakha. Schools, health posts, and homes are gradually being restored.
In Kavrepalanchok district, we are working diligently to establish a new health post in Thulo Parsel, Temal—a central location that will serve many nearby villages. We are happy to share that the Health Post Building has been completed, and we are now working to make it fully operational.
However, we face a few critical challenges:
The cost of the land for the health post is still unpaid.
We are in urgent need of medical equipment.
We face a shortage of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and health workers.
We call upon all compassionate individuals and organizations who believe in the power of serving humanity. Your support—whether financial, material, or voluntary—can make a profound difference in the lives of the people in this remote and underserved area. The nearest hospital is in Dhulikhel, about 40 km away, and reaching it can take up to three hours on difficult roads—often too long in emergencies.
International donations can be made through Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition, a local organization led by Mr. Palsang Tamang, who has been actively involved in community development since 2004.
If you are a healthcare professional, volunteer, or donor who would like to contribute to this noble cause, please reach out to:
