The journey displays the finest of Nepal in a reasonable amount of time, providing riders with a fantastic Royal Enfield riding experience. The tour is primarily on paved roads and is recommended for intermediate riders. It is a gentler ride than some of our other tours, so it’s ideal for those who prefer to kick back and listen to the single-cylinder thump while riding. On this riding we ride around 997 KM in Total. Most of the road is off road that gives us thrilling adventure.

Mustang reaches up to the Tibetan border crossing different Himalayan regions. Upper Mustang is a place of rare experience. Upper Mustang riding is an adventure ride by experienced riders which is memorial riding inside scenic and cultural land. The plateau landscape with the Himalayan views is also called Mini Tibet in Nepal. For enjoying this tour, we have to have a gentle experience of off-road riding. Join the tour or create your own group for its best season in autumn or in spring.

The area is restricted and a special permit through a registered company needs to obtain in Kathmandu office of department of immigration. We do entire permit procedure. We just need your passport copies at the time of registration and original passport in the time of issuing it. Addition permit is not needed for motorbikes. Cost of Upper Mustang restricted area permit is USD 500 per person. Minimum 10 days permit cost is required to pay. If need to stay more than 10 days inside the restricted area, USD 50 per person per day is extra charge. Beside Upper Mustang permit, a permit of Annapurna conservation is also required. We process entire permits procedure without your present there in the immigration or in ACAP permit center.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu

You are welcomed to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal renowned for historical monuments, Hindu Temples, and Buddhist Stupas/Monasteries. We meet our guests at the Tribhuvan International Airport. A representative will be waiting with a Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition placard with our guests’ names displayed. After dropping luggage at the hotel, guests are taken for a short sightseeing tour.

Day 02: Trip preparation (1350m)

Today we prepare Upper Mustang special permit with original passport and also for bike tour. According to your wishes, the guide will escort you for sightseeing. Sightseeing may include the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupati, Boudhanath, Patan Durbar Square, and the Swoyambhunath areas.  Starting after breakfast, usually at 9.00am, the exploration of Kathmandu Valley. Generally, we used Royal Enfield bike for bike tour which is strong enough for high way and off road so today we will check it out.

Day 03:  Ride Kathmandu to Pokhara (900m) (204kms)

Today our riding starts early morning from Kathmandu through Prithvi Highway. We ride down through the zigzag road and from a point the road splits and we turn right crossing a bridge over Trisuli River to Pokhara. Some part of this road is dusty as it is under construction for upgrading. Stay in Hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04: Ride Pokhara to Kalapani(2530m) 120km 

Starting early from pokhara, we ride along the bank of the Kali Gandaki River with huge waterfalls and this will be one of the longest days of ride. We will ride through Beni to Kalopani which is around 104KM following the paved road and rough road begins after Beni with breathtaking views of the Himalayas in the background on a clear day. We stay in tea house in Kalapani.

Day 05: Ride Kalopani to Ghami (3510m) 55 km

After having our Breakfast in Kalapani we ride following the Kali Gandaki River with a Himalayan range of Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri. We will travel to Shamar valley. Ride and explore the typical village of Kagbeni, we will proceed with our permit checking and documents at the checkpoint of Kagbeni village then we ride to reach Ghami. We stay in tea house in Ghami.

Day 06: Ride Ghami to Lo-manthang (3800m) 60km

Crossing rocky trails and observing Tibetan-themed houses and settlements we will ride passing through Chhusang (2,950 m), we head to the settlement Lomangthang. We will see the clusters of ancient cave dwellings high up on the dramatic rock face across the Kali Gandaki River. We stay in Tea house.

Day 07: Lo-manthang to explore (3800m)

Ride to Chhosar Monastery, Khangchuling cave, Jhong cave, NYFU Monastery, Chhonup Village, Nymagel Village and Tingkar Village a for cave monastery and life, Namgyal Monastery and Summer Palace and local activities. Today also stay in same tea house.

Day 08: Ride back to Kagbeni (2804m) 80km

Ride back to Kagbeni, following the Himalayan range of Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri. We stay in hotel.

Day 09: Ride back to Tatopani (1190m) 95 km

Ride back to Tatopani (95 km – dustier road and less paved road) Stay in hotel.

Day 110: Ride back to Bandipur (1030m) 177km

Ride back to Bandipur (177km – mostly paved road) Bandipur is the mostly inhabited by Newari community located at top of the hill. Where we can experience typical Newari culture and enjoy Newari cuisine. We stay either in hotel or home stay.

Day 11: Ride back to Kathmandu (1350m) 148km

Our last ride of Motorcycle tours to Upper Mustang.  We leave From Bandipur to Kathmandu, we will travel through Mugling, continue riding on the same highway back to Kathmandu. Check into the hotel, and free to relax or explore around the city.

Day 12: Final Departure

Today, we check the list of all necessary documents and goods of our guest. We confirm the flight tickets before 72 hours of departure flight. We advise our guest to put passport and tickets at their handbag for convenience. Himalayan Vacation Treks and Expedition staff representative will take our valuable guests to the airport (3 hours prior to your flight) and bid goodbye. It will be not only goodbye but also the welcome for next visit to Nepal.
