Due to its remoteness, Nepal is famous for its natural greenness.  In the populated Foothills, expect some air pollution due to road dust and agricultural burning.  Air quality in Kathmandu has become problematic as dust from infrastructure construction and renovation, along with unregulated vehicle pollution on hot sunny days can reach high levels.  The Nepal government is concerned and is adopting remedies.
