Many popular destinations are closed during the monsoon months of July and August due to the rainy conditions. However, during monsoon season trekking is possible in the Upper Dolpo, Upper Mustang & Tibet tour as these area lies at the rain shadow area of Himalayan Mountain range.  Also in the winter months, higher altitude treks are not possible due to cold and snow.
